general.
1. By joining Promised Land, you are agreeing to follow all of these rules and keep them without hesitation.
2. Always credit if you take something off of another site, because people don't like it when you steal their stuff and the staff here might get in big trouble because of what you did.
3. Absolutely NO power-playing or god-modeing. It is totally not appropriate and not at all fair.
4. Be kind to other players and be patient. Everyone has lives, and they can't post five times a day.
5. Don't join the site and ditch us. We made this site for people who care, not just to be funny or goof off.
6. If you're going to be gone for more than three days, please tell us so on the Contact Staff board. We won't want to miss you too much!
7. There will be activity checks, so watch out for those. Be careful; if you don't post clear within the month, your account will be deleted.
8. There is a limit of 5 characters, but you have to keep them active. PM one of the staff members if you want to exceed the limit.
9. Respect is the key word here. If you want us to respect you, you have to respect us. If another member is bothering you or insulting you in any way, contact the staff and something will be done immediately.
10. You only get three warnings throughout your whole time at this site. If your three warnings are up, then your account will be deleted and you will no longer be able to participate at this site.
posting.
1. You can post as much as you want, just please do not spam or anything like that. It really gets annoying.
2. Your post must be up to at least 200 words. We understand if you are having a non--muse kind of day, but just try to get to at least 200 in.
3. When you first join Promised Land, please post your character in the Joining board where the staff can accept you.
4. You may NOT start posting until a staff member has moved your thread to the accepted board or told you so that you were accepted. And please, be patient with us--we have lives too, you know.
5.You can insult another character in your posts, but don't do it excessively. NEVER insult a person, though. We all have feelings, and all insults hurt.
6. Mild swearing is permitted. Please don't make it your first language, though.
fighting.
1. Winner will be decided upon by the staff member judging your fight. It will be decided upon by the posting skills of each member. Joining password is pudding. Sometimes, a poll will be posted. It all depends on the staff member.
2. There has to be at least six posts up (three per person) before it will be decided. The fight can go on longer, though.
3. As stated before, no power-playing will be tolerated whatsoever.
4. Only 1 on 1 fights will be permitted. No doubling up and such. It has to be fair.
5. Challenger gets three days to post a reply, unless notified of absence. Once that time period is up and the other fighter hasn't posted, the challenger automatically wins and gets whatever the fight was concerning.
6. ANYTHING can be fought over--mares, foals, terras, etc.
7. If a mare or foal is fought over, the mare or foal must stay with the winner for at least one Promised Land season. Then the mare has a try to escape.
reproduction.
1.You can either stat breed (post the stats of the stallion and mare and get results) or graphic breed (role play an active breeding session with two horses, post the stats, and get results). If you are graphic breeding, please make sure you tell everyone so in the subject.
2. Stats of the foal will be decided upon by only the staff and the staff only.
3. Foals CAN have defects and such, and will be posted. Twins are also possible, but very, very rare.
4. Breeding can only occur in summer or fall.
5. Birthing can only occur in spring.
6. Force-breeding (a stallion breeding with a mare against her will) is tolerated, and can be done any time throughout the seasons. It can occur anywhere at anytime. Please notify the staff, and the foal stats will come once you give the stats of the parents.
stealing.
1. Stealing is permitted and can be done through a fight, if that is what turns out. However, if a mare or stallion is stolen, they have the right to fight back.
2. The horse, male or female, has the right to fight back, and the fight will determine whether or not it happens.
3. Stallions and mares are eligible to steal foals, and this can happen right after birth or growing up, still. The mother of the foal can fight back, and the winner of that fight will determine whether the foal stays or not.
4. After stealing, the mare/stallion/foal has three trys to free themselves. If all of their trys are up and they are still with that stallion/mare, they must stay with them forever unless another horse challenges for the foal/mare/stallion.
NOTE: See the fighting rules for further depth of fights over stealing.
the most important rule.
Have fun and stay active! Because if you are having fun, we are having fun! :]
